Its
another
field
day
in
the
booksa
tradition
that
has
been
enjoyed
by
more
than
five
decades
of
Duclos
Point
residents.
For
all
those
who
attended,
donated
and
volunteered
thank
you.
I
would
especially
like
to
acknowledge
Michelle
Read-Kulig
for
organizing
the
kids
races.
Everyone
from
young
to
old
enjoyed
our
traditional
sack
races,
water
balloon
toss,
land
skis,
watermelon
eating
contest
and
more.
Youngsters
particularly
enjoyed
the
face
painting
station
set
up
by
Susan
Stortini.
This
year
the
kids
really
outdid
themselves
in
the
costume
parade.
And
the
highlight
of
the
day
was
the
east/west
tug
of
war
won
this
time
by
the
east.
So
thanks
to
everyone
who
assisted
with
the
races,
handed
out
ribbons
&
prizes,
cooked
the
hot
dogs
and
helped
make
the
day
a
success.
Also
special
thanks
to
the
set
up
and
clean-up
crews
lead
by
Steve
and
Andrew
McKay,
Alex
MacPherson
and
Bill
Parsley.
We
are
also
grateful
to
the
Wright
family
for
helping
all
day
long
and
purchasing
an
amazing
array
of
adult
bingo
prizes.
They
also
provided
a
group
of
student
volunteers
who
made
the
day
much
easier.
And
to
Janet
Seeback
for
putting
together
our
coveted
liquor
bucket
for
the
raffle
table.
Thanks
to
donations
we
had
the
largest
array
of
prizes
weve
ever
had!
