A chant to get ready

for storytime

I originally came across this wonderful chant at

when I was browsing through different librarian
wikis when I first got hired. I wanted to get
some ideas on library management with the
little ones who seemed so wiggly!
I thought this would be perfect for my Pre-K and
Kinder students, but ended up doing it even with
my wiggly first graders. They absolutely LOVED
it, and I would even hear them practicing it
while they waited for me to join them on the
carpet. J
I printed the poster in color and took it to Office
Max to make a larger, colored poster.
