Identifying and recruiting 3-5 neutral-minded (no strong feelings one or another about animal agriculture) members of your peer group to experience the same tour, and write a first-person “blog-style” account of their experiences for Perdue’s social media properties and as a press release. You will receive guidance and direction on this project from the Director of Corporate Communications. # Craft at least 15 social media posts (Twitter and/or Facebook) promoting specific content within the most recent Perdue Farms Corporate Responsibility Report. You will receive guidance and direction on this project from the Director of Corporate Communications and/or Corporate Communications Manager. Assist with press releases, media advisories and social posts for Perdue Farms corporate giving and community involvement events. You will receive guidance and direction on this aroject from the Corporate Communications Manager. > The student should provide diligent performance of work, safeguard the interests of the organization, and share information that may impact the student’s ability to do the job including the level of internship course for which the student has registered. Student Intern’s Goals and Objectives Goal: Improve my skills on programs that I am not comfortable with like Adobe Illustrator and Premiere Objective: Make at least two strategic videos on Adobe Premiere to promote Perdue Objective: Make at least two projects using Adobe Illustrator to promote Perdue Goal: Develop my ability to strategically select information to include when writing blog posts, press releases and social media posts to best represent Perdue’s mission statement and goals Objective: Write three blog posts with fewer than 10 edits on the first one and sequentially fewer on the second and third Objective: Write three press releases with fewer than five content edits on the first one and sequentially fewer on the second and third Objective: Write 20 social media posts that are professional and interesting Description of compensation including amount, how and when paid and treatment of taxes, as well as, facilities, and supervision to be provided by the worksite organization to the student: This is a non-paid internship being done for credi: only. Units of credit to be earned: | (require a minimum of 45 hours of work per credit) ‘Time frame of internship: Start date: June 22, 2015 End date: August 21, 2015 Weekly schedule: Attend team meeting Tuesday momings at 8:30 a.m. and complete 10 hours of work a week maximum Grading Intern: The student should follow the syllabus provided by the instructor. Supervisor: The supervisor should write an evaluation of the student and send it to the instructor by semester's end. It should be signed and on company letterhead. This letier should verify the number hours the student has worked and give a descriptive evaluation of the quality of work provided by the student during the internship. A copy of the evaluation should be provided to the student. Please note that students will be allowed to view the evaluation. Instruetor’s access to evaluate the student Early in the internship the student should coordinate and the organization should welcome a phone visit with the worksite supervisor for the instructor. The phone visit should include a discussion of the student's progress and any other pertinent matters. ‘Weather emergency plan and absenteeism pol ‘An agreement should be determined between the site supervisor and the student and documented here: If weather is unsafe to travel in, I will stay home and make up my hours. I will also make up any hours missed from absences. Rights of the worksite vis 1e student The supervisor has the right to direct the student's work, hours, discipline, and termination. Process of termination ‘Student and supervisor should share concerns with the instructor before taking action to terminate the internship. The student should have permission of the instructor before terminating participation in the internship.
