Sack race
INDIVIDUAL PARTICIPANT RULES

Sixparticipantsatatime
Whenthewhistleblows,participantswillruntothesack,putbothfeetinandbeginhoppingtoward
thefinishline.
Contestantsmustkeepbothfeetinsackandatleastonehandonthesackatalltimes.

Thesackmustremainasclosetothewaistaspossibleandshouldnotfallbelowtheknees.

Thefirstracertothefinishlinewins.

TEAM RACE RULES

Sixteamrules

Eachplayerputsbothlegsintosackandhopsaroundacone,orsomemarkedpoint,andback,
taggingthenextpersoninline.

Then,thenextpersoninlinegetsintothesackandrepeatstheoncearoundtheconecourse.

Thefirstteamtothefinishlinewins.

Three legged race

INDIVIDUAL PARTICIPANT RULES

Kidscanpicktheirpartner.

Iftheresakidleftout,Iwillgladlypairwiththem.

Haveeachplayerstandnexttohispartnerandputhisarmaroundhispartner'swaist.

Thepartners'insidelegs(therightlegofthepartnerontheleftandtheleftlegofthepartneronthe
right)shouldbetouching.Tiethepartners'insidelegstogethersoeachpairofchildrenhasthree
legsratherthanfour.

Usetworopes(orducttape,orcones)tomarkastartinglineandafinishline.

Havetheplayerslineupatthestartingline.Atmysignal,haveplayerswalkorrunasfastasthey
cantothefinishline.

Itsoundseasy,butittakespracticetomaketwolegsworkasone!Thewinnersarethepairof
childrenwhocrossthefinishlinefirst.

Egg race
INDIVIDUAL PARTICIPANT RULES
*if you prefer not having to clean up an eggy mess, hard boiled eggs are always a good option. They dont tend to break,
unless a four year old picks one up and throws it against a wall.

Kidslineupbehindaropeontheground.

Eachpersonisgivenaplasticspoonandanegg.

Atmysignal,theyplacetheeggsontheirspoonandstartwalkingasfastastheycantowardsthe
finishlinewithoutdroppingtheeggfromtheplasticspoon.

Iftheeggbreaks,theyareoutofthegame.

Jailbreak
INDIVIDUAL PARTICIPANT RULES

Therearetwotypesofplayerstothisgame:JailersandPrisoners.
Thejailersandprisonersstandonoppositeendsoftheplayarea(preferablyalawn).
TheJailersholdhandstightlyandstandclosetogether,formingaboundarythattheprisonershave
togetthrough.
ThePrisonersareindividualplayers.TheyallrunatoncetowardtheJailersbodyboundaryandtry
togetthroughit.
Youcannotrunaroundtheboundary,onlythrough.
Thefirst,second,andthirdpersonthroughtheboundaryreceiveawards.
TherearemoreJailersthanPrisoners.
Anyviolentplayerswillbeeliminatedfromthegame.

Blind Sight
TEAMED PARTICIPANTS RULES

Thereareonlytwopeopleperteaminthisgame.
Thereareconesthatoutlinetheracetrack,usuallyinazigzagpattern.
Playeronehasaclothtiedaroundtheireyes,andplayertwostandsbehindP1.
Playeroneisnotallowedtoseethetrackbeforehand.
WhenIblowthewhistle,playertwowillshoutoutinstructionstoplayeroneonwheretogointhe
track,becausetheyareblindedbythecloth.
Playertwoisallowedtofollowtheirteammate,butatadistance,toshoutoutinstructions,and
playertwoisnotallowedtotouchplayeroneunderanycircumstance.

Pirates of the Caribbean

Eachpersonhasafullwaterballoonstrappedtotheirwaist.
Eachpersonhasaweapon(fake,ofcourse)
Theobjectiveofeachindividualistopoptowaterballoonontheircompetitorswaistsandprotect
theirownwaterballoon.
Thewaterballoonrepresentsthelivesofeachperson.
Onceapersonswaterballoonispopped,theysitoutandwatchthegame.
Theplayersarenot,underanycircumstance,allowedtotouchtheirwaterballoonormoveit
anywherefromtheirwaist.
Thelastpersonwiththeirlife(thewaterballoon)unpoppedwinsamedal(plastic,youcanbuybags
ofthesefor$3atdiddams)

Tug of war
TEAMED PARTICIPANTS RULES

Twoteams:eachpickstheircolor.
Maxoftenpeopletoateam.
Eachteampicksuponeendoftherope.Thereisaboundarylineinthemiddle,eitherexpressed
withspraypaint,cones,orducttape.
Theteamstugontherope,inoppositedirections,andthefirstteamtobringtheotherplayersover
theboundarylineandmaketheopposingteamsplayersfallwins.

Capture the flag

TEAMED PARTICIPANTS RULES

2teams

Eachteamgetsonehalfofthefield.

Theyhaveaflagwhichisinahulahoop.Thishoopisguardedbythedefensehalfoftheteam.The
offenseplayersruntotheotherteamandattempttostealtheirflag.

Ifaplayerfromtheotherteamistaggedoutsideoftheirterritorybyaplayeroftheopposingteam,
theygototheopposingteamsjailuntilsetfreebyamemberoftheirownteam.

Thefirstteamtosuccessfullytraveltheflagacrosstheenemyterritorytotheirownsidewins.

Handoffsareallowed,butthrowingtheflagisnotallowed.

The Hunger Games

INDIVIDUAL PARTICIPANT RULES

Abucketfullofwaterballoonsservesasthecornucopia,withcardboardshields(withhandleson
theback)about2feetby2feetscatteredaroundit.

Thetributesstandaroundthecornucopiainacircle,about6feetawayfromit.

WhenIblowthewhistle,thetributesrunatthecornucopiaatgrabasmanywaterballoonsasthey
canandacardboardshield.Theyarenotallowedmorethanoneshield.

Then,theyscatterandthrowtheballoonsatoneanother.

Whentheyrunoutofballoons,theycantrytogetmorebutriskbeingexposed.

Tributescanblockhitswiththeirshield,butiftheyarehitanywhereontheirbodywithaballoon,
theyaresignaledasdeceased.

TheDeceasedleavetheirshieldsonthegroundwhencalledandstandbehindmeatthe
gamemaker'stable.

Thereisnophysicalviolenceorphysicallytouchinganotherplayer

Thelastpersonwhosurvivesanywaterballoonhitswinsthegame.

Dodgeball
TEAMED PARTICIPANTS RULES

Therearetwoteamsonseparatesidesofafield.

Arowofballslinesthemiddle.

WhenIblowthewhistle,theteamsrunfortheballs,grabthem,andrunbacktotheirside.

Eachplayeraimstheballattheotherteamplayerswaistandbelow.Iftheballhitsthemabovethe
waist,thenthepersonwhothrewtheballgetsawarning.Iftheydoitagain,theysitout.

Ifaballisthrownatsomeonebutthepersoncatchestheball,thenthethrowerisout.

Theteamthatlosesallofitsplayersfirstloses.

Chaos tag

Atthebeginningofthegame,everyoneisIt.

Childrenrunandtrytotagsomeone.

Ifyouaretagged,youkneeldowninplace,andwatchfortheonewhotaggedyoutogettagged.
Whenthatpersonistagged,thenyoustandupandarebackinthegame.

Ifyouandtheotherpersontageachotheratthesametime,thenyoudoRockPaperScissors,
andwhoeverwins,kneelsinplace,andwatchesuntilthepersonwhobeatyouistaggedor
beaten,atwhichpointyoucangetupandresumeplayingthegame.

Thegameiswonwhenonlyonepersonremains.

Theyareatdifferentlevels

Theposterboardisataslant.

Theplayersattempttotossapingpongballintothecups.

Thefarthestcupfromtheplayerisworth15points,themiddleoneworth10points,andtheclosest
cupisworth5points.

Therearetwoteams,eachwiththeirownside.

Aninflatedbeachballistossedintheairatoneteam.

Theteamsareallowedonlytheirheadsorelbowstokeeptheballintheair.

Whentheapersonfromoneteamletstheballtouchtheground,itgoestotheotherteam.

Therearegoalsoneitherendfortheopposingteamstotryandheadertheballthrough.

Whileyoucanuseyourelbowstokeeptheballintheair,youcanonlyuseyourforehead/headto
headertheballthroughtheenemygoal.

Thefirstteamtogetfivegoalswins.

Rope Course

Aropecourseissetupbetweensometreesorpoles.Thisgameisonlyfitfortherightterrain.

Ropeisstretchedbetweenthetrees/poles,resemblingalaseralarmsystem,andthekidshavetogo
aboveandundertoavoidtouchingtheropes.
