Projection of Solids 2

Practice problems (same 2 question for all sections):Q.1. A hexagonal prism having base edge 100 mm and height 150 mm is resting on one of its
base edges on the ground in such a way that axis is inclined 70 to the ground and parallel to VP.
Draw projections of the solid. [encourage students to visualize hidden and solid lines]

Q.2. A hexagonal pyramid base side 30 mm and height 60 mm is kept on HP, with a side of the
base parallel to VP and the triangular face containing that side is parallel to VP. Draw the
projections of the solid. [this is a distinctive problem as the starting condition apparently contradicts the generally
suggested starting condition for problem with a side of base parallel to VP. The apparent contradiction is due to the fact that the
position described triangular side parallel to V is second step in a 2 step solution.]
