PREPARATION

Pre - teach words:

Cannot be deduced from the context.
FIRST MAIN READING
a) To read each article without stopping and without worrying about every single Word.
b) Ask the students the first general comprehension exercises, main points.
Variations:
Students follow in their books this will help them to read through the texts at a
steady pace.
You can break the first reading and comprehension check into sections, following
the natural breaks in the units.
Then tell the students to read through the whole text again silently.
Focus your students attentions on the main points.
SECOND MAIN READING

Prepare the students for more detailed.


Some basic strategies:
a) Look the illustration of words.
b) Look for a definition in the text.
c) Look for exemplification of meaning in the context.
d) Try to work out the meaning of the word from the wider context of the whole
passage.
e) Look for international words or words similar to those in the first language.
The students to read the text again in order to answer the question Read for inference,
check the facts.
Variations:
They justify their answers by reference to the text.
Set the exercises for homework and go over them in class.
