Duotone Formal Announcement

Abstracts/Specs:

A. Design a Formal announcement for yourself or someone else. Determine size, folds, colors and
imposition. Work out your ideas visually through thumbnails, roughs, and comps. Present your
pre-planning for feedback and critique. Restrict your design to two colors (black & a Pantone solid
coated color). You must use at least one duotone image in your design. Design the layout and text for
an accompanying envelope. Be sure to use full resolution images and correct bleed settings. Use
Photoshop for duotones, and Indesgin for your layout.

B. Print and mount composite of your design and submit it for evaluation. Collect or package and turn
your work files and a pdf of the design to a CD. Print out separations and submit them inside a plastic
sheet protector.
