TERMS:
Be prepared to understand the general definitions of these terms, as well as what they imply for
digital audio. For example, will a lower or higher bit rate yield a higher-quality audio file?
Sampling - the process of converting sound into a digital file
Sample rate - measured in Hz, is a factor in audio quality
Bit rate - measured in bits, is a factor in audio quality
Compression - reducing file size
Lossy compression - removes data from the file to reduce file size
Lossless - does not remove data from file
Stereo (stereophonic) - 2 waves of sound
Mono (monaural) - 1 wave of sound

Draw a line from the compression type on the left to the appropriate compression types on the right,
so that each line represents a conversion that would result in NO loss of quality.
