Personal Statement
I am currently a student at Loughborough University. I am an approachable
person who is motivated to do things well. I am polite, resourceful and
determined, as well as friendly, hard working and eager to learn.
Education
The Grange Senior School, Hartford:
9 GCSEs grade A*- B including English grade A and Mathematics
grade A.
3 A Levels; Art and Design grade A, Graphic Design grade A and
History grade B.
I have a BTEC Foundation in Art and Design from Loughborough University.
I am currently studying Textiles: Innovation and Design Undergraduate
Degree at Loughborough University.
Other skills
I am familiar with both windows and mac computer systems. I have a
driving license and speak French to a conversational level.
Work Experience
Customer Service roles: La Belle Epoque 2 AA Rosettes (July
2015 to present). Browns Lane Bar and Restaurant in Loughborough
(January 2015 to present). Hazel Pear in Acton Bridge, waitress and
bartender (June to September 2014). Vale Royal Abbey Arms,
waitress and bartender (summer 2013). Barnabys Play Barn, Play
Assistant (June to December 2012).
Placements: Satish Lad, Photographer and Art Director based in
Warrington. MadHouse advertising agency in Manchester in 2012.
Interests
I rowed and coxed for my school for three years and I enjoy sports and
keeping fit. I also play the piano at grade 4 level. I am really passionate
about Art and Design and I hope to pursue this as a career after university.
Additional information
I have completed Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh awards. At school, I
was a form prefect taking on a peer support role. I volunteered with Riding
for the Disabled Association at Sandy Lane Equestrian in Weaverham for
three years from 2007 to 2010. I was on the Charity Committee in the 6 th
Form and helped to fundraise and organise events to raise money for our
selected school charities, raising a total of 10,600 over the year. I
currently participate regularly in University fundraising and action projects.
