Film Making Workshop

K-6 Languages teachers across NSW are invited to attend one of the semester two network meetings on film
making in the classroom. The workshop will support teachers to submit their students work at language film
festivals and/or the Linguafest competition.
This is a wonderful opportunity for students and teachers to use the language in a fun and innovative way,
whilst encouraging the preservation of the language specific culture.

Key outcomes
The session will cover basic film making principles and general production guidelines. Topics such as basic
HDSLR camera operation, key photographic principals, script writing, casting, lighting and sound will be
explored. Teachers willing to attend MUST be confident users of ICT.

School commitment
Schools interested in participating in this workshop need to be aware that they will be committing to a
half-day release for each participating teacher.
