LESSON AIMS:
to revise their knowledge of vocabulary associated with jobs
to introduce the new topic: toys practise vocabulary related to the topic in sentences of their own to improve the students pronunciation to keep the students interested in the subject.
At this stage I used Google Chrome in order to reach Youtube and to play a song to the pupils The teacher plays the children a song on the computer in order to reactivate their knowledge of jobs, which were studied during the last class, and to make the transition to the new lesson: toys Activity 2: Presentation (10 min.) The teacher gives the pupils a handout which contains the new vocabulary, reads them the new words which they have to pronounce correctly, and then she elicits the translation of the items from the pupils Activity 3: Practice (10 min.) At this stage I used one hand-out which I previously created using Google Docs For the next activity, the teacher gives the Ss another worksheet and she tells them to colour the toys following her instructions and then make sentences: "The ball is red", "The doll is pink" Activity 4: Production (10 min.) After they become familiar to the objects, the T reads the Ss some sentences and they have to match the people with the toys they possess; afterwards they repeat the sentences themselves and colour the images Activity 5: Follow-up (10 min.) The pupils have to draw their favourite toy/s and then they ask one another: "Which is your favourite toy?" and provide appropriate answers.
