Ideal fluid flow, stream function, velocity
potential, Laplace equation, superposition, flow
modeling, circulation and lift
Viscous effects: laminar and turbulent boundary
layers, transition, skin-friction drag, drag
coefficient, similarity; Free-surface flows: openchannel flow, Froude number, subcritical and
supercritical flows
Hydraulic jump, wave drag; compressible flow,
Mach number, adiabatic and isentropic flow,
shock waves.
