no moving parts. These machines use energy to work.

An Inclined Plane has examples such as elevating one object to


higher grounds or lowering it to lower grounds.
A Gear is a toothed wheel that
engages another toothed
mechanism in order to change
the speed or direction of
transmitted motion.
