Fishing.
Fishing is an operation perfomed to recover post of the drillstring as well as any type of
metal tool that have fallen in to the well.
Causes: The causes that can use a fishing when drilling a well are simple as it goes
from the accidental fall offhand tool downhole drillbit to a release or any part of the
pipe.
Types of fishing:
Fishing open hole: If a tool is lost to in open space, the position of the fish
becomes the subject of uncertainty since it is not known exactly what position is
the fish, could be embedded in the side wall of a hole, or could be lost in a cavity
or in a landslide.
Fishing cased hole: This fishing occurs usually in production and workover
operations. For this the some tools as open space but the different is that these
are smaller and their efforts are minor, but this does not, mean that the fishing
operation will be easier used as like wise are dangerous operations and required
much experience to its success.
