About
Originally from California in 2011, they are an indie rock band. The
band is composed of;
Vocalist: Jesse Rutherford.
Guitarists: Jeremy Freedman and Zach Abels.
Bassist: Mikey Margott.
Drummer: Brandon Fried.
The Neighbourhoods genre was listed as Indie rock and alternative
rock. However, within their lyrics they display a lot of negative
emotion (e.g. When I wake up I'm afraid, somebody else might
take my place // Afraid) which is thought to be a complete
opposite to where they originated from, California the Orange
County. These type of lyrics are commonly used throughout there
album:
I hate the beach, but I stand in California with my toes in the
sand // Sweater Weather.
If what they said was all pretend then it'd be different, if it
depended on if anyone was listening, and I was listening. // Let It
Go.
