The Department of Public Safety received your above-referenced request on February 18, 2010. We
have determined that complying with your request will result in the imposition of a charge that exceeds
$40. Therefore, we are providing you with the enclosed cost estimate as required by Gov't Code
§ 552.2615.

The requested information can be made available only at a cost that covers the programming and/or

in the requested form. The information is currently stored in one or more extensive databases.
Accessing the requested information will require filtering and sorting a very large amount of data. The
estimated time it will take to capture the requested data is approximately one week. The estimated cost
of providing the responsive records is $46.46, as set forth on the enclosed cost estimate. There is not a
less expensive way for you to obtain this information. These charges may be reduced if you narrow or
clarify the scope of your request.

Your request will be considered automatically withdrawn if you do not notify us in writing within ten
business days from the date of this letter that you either:

(a) accept the charges;

(b) wish to modify your request; OR
(c) have sent to the Open Records Division of the Office of the Attorney
General a complaint alleging that you are being overcharged for the
information you have requested.
