The Roundtable on Sustainable Biofuels (RSB) would like to hereby certify that Mr Phani
Mohan Kancharla was invited to participate in the fourth RSB regional outreach, held in
New-Delhi (India) on the 12th and 13th of June 2008, in partnership with the United Nations
Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Indian Institute of Technology).

During the conference, Mr Kancharla offered a proactive participation, through a plenary

presentation on the perspectives for bioethanol from sugar in India and by sharing his
knowledge and experience during break-out group discussions.

The Roundtable on Sustainable Biofuels would like to hereby express its entire satisfaction
and gratefulness toward Mr Kancharla for his expert participation and contributions to the
discussions on biofuels’ sustainability in India and the rest of the world. For the last year
(May 2007-June 2008), he has also been an active participant to the virtual consultation
(internet & teleconferences) set by the RSB to define biofuels sustainability.

It has been a pleasure to work with Mr Kancharla and we are happy to recommend his
participation in any work or project related to the production of bioethanol or biofuel in India
and in any part of the world. We wish him all the best for his future projects.
