Read John 15:1-11 - Who is the True Vine? (Jesus) - Jesus talked about the branches of the vine bearing fruit. As a family, discuss what fruit Jesus was talking about.

- When we abide in Christ what does Christ do? (He abides in us.) - What does “abide” mean? (live in) - Can a branch bear fruit if it’s cut off the vine? (No, it can only bear fruit if it’s attached to the vine. The vine provides nourishment so that the branch bears fruit.) - Can we bear fruit on our own? (No, it is only when we are abiding in Christ that we can bear fruit.)

Fruit production is a by-product of Worship! When you see your
children struggling with wrong behaviors, help them identify that there is a deeper heart issue at hand. Help them identify why they are not bearing fruit and lead them to their knees so that they can pray and ask God for His help. It is only by the True Vine that we receive the nourishment that produces fruit. And the fruit is there because we are connected to the True Vine.
