Management
Diagnostic:
Request for CBC, BUN, Crea, Chest XRay, Blood Typing and Crossmatching
Therapeutic
Start IVF plain NSS at 100cc/hr
Omeprazole 80mg/IV bolus then start
Omeprazole drip 80mg to make 100cc to
run for 10 hours
Blood transfusion 1 unit PRBC
Endoscopy

Hypovolemic Shock
a medical or surgical condition in
which rapid fluid loss results in
multiple organ failure due to
inadequate circulating volume and
subsequent inadequate perfusion
May be due to hemorrhage, volume
depletion and internal sequestration

Clinical Manifestations
Hypotension( systolic BP <90, Mean
BP <60)
Tachycardia, tachypnea
Pallor, restlessness, dry skin and
mucosa
Signs of intense peripheral
vasoconstriction, with weak
peripheral pulses and cold clammy
skin
Oliguria (<20ml/hr)
