In-line Carbonation, Decarbonation

and Deoxygenation System

The CRS system is a modular, fully automatic system for carbonation,

decarbonation and deoxygenation of beer. Hollow fibre contactors enable
the direct transmission of CO2 in or out of beverages without any loss or
foaming. Due to the contactor design the flow rate can be varied from no
flow up to max. specified capacity. The advantages of the system are the
easy upgrading of capacity by adding contactors, maintenance free, full
automatic operation and a small footprint.

The CRS system is a modular constructed

carbonation, decarbonation and deoxygenation
unit. Highly efficient contactors, so-called Hollow
fibre membrane modules enable the transmission
of CO2 into or out of beverages. Due to the special
material of the fibre it is only permeable for gas
molecules.
The driving force of the gas diffusion into /
removal out of beverage is the partial pressure
difference between the gas and liquid phase. The
gas molecules are only driven by partial pressure
difference directly into / out of solution. This
enables bubble free carbonation at the contact
point (membrane) of gas - liquid and decarbonation with highest efficiency combined with
a reduction of the O2-content in the beverage.
The CO2-concentration of the final product is
controlled continuously by a highly accurate inline CO2-analyser.
An optional remote access service kit allows
software updating and trouble shooting within a
few hours.
