Summary

Instructor presents a case study with a common dilemma. The


patients values are at odds with the best evidence available (for
example use of medication such as oral contraceptives,
albumin, chemotherapy, radiation). Instructor asks thought
provoking questions. Students discuss ways to balance use of
evidence with patient preference.
