Description
Square 1: The stars of a school are the activities and services that are especially strong, have potential for
growth and are well funded. They are often dynamic and popular but can turn out to be short-lived shooting
stars.
Square 2: The political hotbox contains activities that are still quite new, attract funding because of public
support and as yet produce little, though they use up resources. They may become stars or they may fail.
Square 3: The golden fleeces are reliable, safe services and products that have an entrenched position, require
a low resource input and provide some security for the school.
Square 4: The back drawer issues are activities that the school has problems resourcing.
