    NEWS RELEASE
    Texas Ave. Shooting Investigation
    Case # 10-013522
    (Grand Junction, CO)- The Grand Junction Police Department is investigating a shooting that
    took place outside a home in the 2500 block of Texas Ave. At 8:55 pm officers responded to a
    report of a verbal fight between a man and a woman at 2541 Texas Ave. When they arrived on
    scene they found a man lying in the street with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital
    with serious injuries. Officers were also able to quickly identify a suspect and take him into
    custody.

    Investigators immediately began interviewing several possible witnesses, including the woman
    who was reportedly involved in the initial verbal disturbance. At the same time forensic
    investigators began collecting evidence, which at this time shows multiple shots were fired
    outside the home.

    The names of those involved in this incident are not being released at this time.
