words

* Word families- ask me to tell you the name

of the word family in some words. snap,
hop, scrub, jet, flip
*

Blends- example: sl, st, cr, sw, cl- and

where these blends can be found in words
(at the beginning- slip, stop, crab, swim,
club)

* Why some words end in ck because

If you have a wimpy vowel you need a ck.
Not just a k, you need a ck.

sending them in with your child, but if
you prefer, you can order online. I
included our class code on the Shutterfly

The day and activities for the day are
based on the book The Dot by Peter H.
Reynolds. On this day students are
permitted to dress down (top only) in a
dotted shirt or wear dots on their bows/
headbands. If students would prefer they
can dress in dress code that day!
