# 1070: To generate HTML mesh quality report

Topic Objective:
To generate a report of key quality metrics for al selected models.

Topic Details:
This feature creates an HTML mesh quality report. The report can be generated for the current
model or multiple models saved in a folder.
The tool uses the standard HyperMesh criteria file as input. It summarizes the Quality Index
(QI) calculations, along with information on the number of elements that fall into each QI range.
Procedure:
1. Create a Criteria file in the Criteria File Editor and save desired criteria Go to 2D page > quality index panel page 3 > edit criteria button
The Criteria File Editor allows you to load and save Quality Index criteria files, as well as view
and modify their contents. The Criteria File Editor dialog lists many criteria organized into
groups. Each group is expandable or collapsible by clicking the arrow next to a group heading.
There are no additional tabs, but vertical and horizontal scroll bars allow you to navigate the full
set of available criteria.

Use the file menu inside the Criteria File Editor window to save changes you have made to the
current criteria file.

2. Go to Mesh > Checks > Elements > Quality Report > Multiple Models

Please note here that when the tool is run the model in your current session will be replaced by
one of the models selected for the report.
3. At the prompt select the output directory where you need the report to be located>say
OK.
4. At the prompt select the HyperMesh database files you need to generate reports for>say
OK
5. Select the criteria file generated in step 1>say OK.
The tool will now display the summary in your web browser. You can click on the model file
names (in blue below) to see the detailed report. The summary file is saved in the location
selected in step 3.
