Action Point

Look around the location.

Talk to people there, organise filming

permissions.

Comments
High Wycombe woods.
Very green and when away from the
road looks very isolated etc.
House.

No filming permissions needed as it is a

public area.
Permissions for use of the house have
been taken.

Identify the equipment you need to

use.

Nikon Coolpix L840

Spare batteries
Memory Card
Fake blood
Glass bottles.

Examine and identify any potential

health and safety issues
(e.g. crowd numbers being controlled,
being set up in a sensible location that
does not block access points or that
damages the environment or frightens
livestock, any road/traffic issues etc)

Right by an extremely busy main-road

with heavy traffic. However, when you
walk further into the woods it is more
than safe.

There are no other significant health

risks making it an ideal location in terms
of shooting wherever I want/can.

Health risks when breaking glass in the

garden.
Very bright day which requires the
camera settings to be adjusted as the
trailer is meant to be quite dark and
shadowy. Therefore, perhaps going later
in the day will resolve this issue.
Adjust the camera settings to the
sunlight outside.

Check the position of the sun and

lighting conditions.

Look for interesting shots and camera

angles.

Low-angle shot of the character running.

Also, a wide shot of the character
running in order to emphasise how
isolated he is, despite being convinced
that he is being followed.
Long-shot to display the vastness of the
woods to connote the idea that anything
COULD be lurking there. This will fit in
well with the general plot of my trailer.
Wide-shot of the character breaking
glass & close up.

Check the electricity supply. (For the

majority of exterior locations you will
be using battery power)

Check all equipment prior to use.

Take extra batteries in case the camera

dies and charge prior to this.

Check the nearby car

parking/transport routes

There is a car park located 5 minutes

away.
Local bus every 10 minutes.

Is the location suitable for production?

There are no safety hazards of concern,

in comparison to the main which arose
for the Henley-On-Thames location, this
makes it far more suitable.
It is ideal for production because it is a
quiet public location, which gives the
trailer that eerie and isolated feel.
The house is perfect for producing a
normal setting and therefore is ideal
for shooting, particularly as it is also in
High Wycombe.
