The victim of the early morning shooting has been identified as:

Lofton V. Sprouls
27 years old
Madison, Wisconsin

A forensic autopsy was completed this afternoon at the Dane County Coroner’s Office.
Lofton died of a gunshot wound.

This case is still under investigation by the City of Madison Police Department, and the Dane
County Coroner’s Office.

There will be no further information released from the Coroner’s Office on this case, at this
time.
