KUCHING A dog saved a family of

five from one of the deadliest animal
in the world king cobra last night.
The incident happened in a worn out
wooden hut.
My husband is a drover and he
is not at home most of the time.
Thanks to Alligator, my dog.
Otherwise, we would have become
supper for the snake! said Madam
Lisa, one of the victims, a mother of
four children.
According to Madam Lisa, the
snake appeared in her house that
afternoon before the incident. It was
almost about 3 metres long. But, she
failed to get rid of it since it darted
under the house when she tried to kill
it. She waited for it to reappear, but it
did not.
At that night, worrying that the
snake will show up again , she stayed
awake to watch out for it.
But I fall asleep at last because
I was to exhausted. Suddenly, I was
alerted by the barking of Alligator.
Quietly, I approach Alligator with a
broom stick in my hand. And I saw it!
Without hesitation, I strike it at its
head and it died. It was really a
relief, added Madam Lisa during the
interview.
The poor condition of the
house could be the main cause for
the incident to happen, said the
Chairman of Welfare Foundation. He
also said that they will raise fund to
build a new house for this
unfortunate family.
