YAF Committee Meeting

10th of September @ 3.30 pm, Youth Inc


Our first meeting commenced at approx 3.45pm on Thursday at Youth Inc.
Robbie discussed the progress of applications being opened for some time now and is starting to grow concerns around how many art
applications are coming in. Robbie encouraged the committee members to focus next week on recruiting as many young talented
people as they can.
Thomas Smith and Bonnie Kelly have put their hand up to speak at the school assemblies where they can in the coming week (14p18th) Neane Carter is going to the Swan Hill Specialist School the coming Monday.
Art works:
Tess, Claudia and Kayla made an attempt to see how many art applications Sarah Munro had got in and she could not provide us with
a number. Robbie had a chat with Ms Stewart and there are growing number of entries coming in on her behalf. Robinvale will have a
few entries, 2-3. Kerang should have a number of 5-10 entries across Performing Arts and Visual Arts.
Performing Arts:
Tullie Roberts and Thomas Smith made an effort to see how any artworks were piling in from Nikki Arnott and it appears only one
application has come in. Laura Gilbee was hoping to have 3 recruits on her behalf. Kaiti Walters could have up to 6, Robbie already has
5 applications, Barham dance school may have 1 or 2. Kaitlin Massara and Emma Hoare were going to ask a few people at their dance
school hopefully recruiting 1 or 2 from their end.
We continued into breaking up each area of interest into categories and outlined a role involved within the category and who would be
interested in completing that role. Once we established this each of us broke up into groups and discussed what had to be organised.
Robbie has set deadline on these roles too. Please insure that you speak up if you have a problem with this deadline. (see bottom of
the document)
It was also discussed that Demi Charnock would be doing some body painting practice on her friends to bring to the day of the festival
as a promotional element. Demi might need some people to act as a canvas for her on the day. Please get in touch with her if you want
to be apart of this.
Our next Meeting will be Thursday the 8th of October in Youth Inc once again at 3.45pm, we will not be working around the committee
members who have other commitments, we are giving you enough time to make arrangements to be there. At this rate, we will have
less than 20 days until the festival at our next meeting.
