Welcome back to another exciting school year and FBLA! I hope everyone had time for some rest and relaxation and now youre
ready and recharged to begin a new year. I know some of you have already started planning your FBLA meetings and activities
with the achievement of Honor Chapter status as one of your goals!
It is exciting to be able to announce that Shelley Beeler will now be serving as a Tidewater Regional Director with me. All of you
know Shelley from her long association with FBLA. She has worked diligently for not only her Indian River High School
chapter, but for the Tidewater Region as well. She is a welcomed addition to the operation of our regional organization! Please
add her name and email address to all regional correspondence.

FALL REGIONAL CONFERENCE

Our Tidewater Fall Regional Conference will be held on Saturday, October 10, at Landstown High School, 2001 Concert Drive,

in Virginia Beach (23456). Your regional officer team will be meeting soon to plan interesting, informative, and exciting
workshops for advisers and students to attend. A Conference Registration Form will be sent at a later date that we will need for
planning purposes. Registration will be held from 9:00 9:30 a.m. The conference should conclude by 12:30 p.m.
REGIONAL DUES
Regional dues of $75* per high school chapter and $30* per middle school chapter may be brought to the Fall Conference or
you may mail it directly to Mrs. Shelley Beeler, Regional Director, Indian River High School, 1969 Braves Trail, Chesapeake,
VA 23325. Make checks payable to Tidewater Region FBLA. The deadline for regional chapter dues is February 1, 2016. A
Regional Dues Requisition Form (if needed for your bookkeeper) is attached to this memo.
*NOTE: The State Executive Board has voted to continue the Gift Card program for ASK patients and their families. Because
of the difficulty our school divisions have in being able to purchase gift cards, we have added $10 to the high school chapter dues
and $5 to the middle school chapter dues to cover this regional obligation for you. Please remember that this contribution is a
regional project and does not carry any points value for the Honor Chapter status.
