GENERAL

1.01 BRIEF PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The existing facility shall be expanded by the addition of One GTG unit
having the net output of 55 to 80 MW after deducting unit auxiliary
consumption at base load at site specified conditions burning distillate oil.
The power generated by the new unit shall evacuate to the new 132 kV
Gas Insulated Switchgear.
Conceptual one line diagram drawing RPP-E-001 attached shows
interconnections of the proposed new GTG unit as concept that shall be
providing the above contractual power requirement.
1.02

SCOPE

The electrical scope of work includes electrical system studies, design,

submission of documents & drawings for approval and then as built as per
submittal
schedule,
manufacturing,
factory
inspections,
packing,
forwarding delivery to site, checking at site, storage, installation, testing,
commissioning and performance trial of all equipments, material, complete
comprising of generator step up (GUT) transformer, interface with the new
132 kV switchgear and interconnection cables, terminations, interfaces
and auxiliary power distribution system required for the project and to
ultimately deliver the power generated by the new unit to the new 132KV
switchgear on lump sum turnkey basis as per the particulars given in the
following sections, and other attached documents. However the new 132
KV switchgear shall be constructed by the substation contractor.
Supply of Tools and electrical spare parts are also included in the scope of
this contract.
In case of any discrepancy of specified particulars standards/documents
and/or drawings, the severest & most reliable particular shall be
considered. In case of doubt, please ask, do not assume.
The electrical equipments and systems required under the scope of this
contract shall, but not limited to, be as per following details:
(A) EQUIPMENTS & SYSTEMS
Work of this section consists of all necessary equipment and systems to
provide a complete and functional installation including but not limited to:

Generator
Segregated phase bus duct
Generator circuit breaker
Generator Step up Transformer
ISO Phase Bus Ducts
XLPE Cables for entire power system
Generator Line Terminal Cubicles
Generator Neutral Equipment
Interfacing cable and all interfaces to new 132 KV switchgear
Interface with existing 4.16 KV switchgear.
