Grade 7 History Character Sketch
Purpose: to capture the life and point of view of a person during
grade 7 history. This sketch should showcase their contribution
to Canadian heritage and identity. Showcase their journey and
experience resulting from a specific time and event.

Success Criteria
Step 1:
Choose a person (male, female, school age, solider, trader, French,
English or First Nations)
Step 2:
Use your notes, the textbook, History Moodle and the internet
to research the life and times of your person
Step 3:
Include accurate clothing1 symbols1 and accessories for the
person and time
Step 4:
Be sure to include proof of their contribution to Canadian identity.
Step 5:
Make direct connections to their interactions with the First Nations. If
they are First
Nations then note their connections to the French/British

Step 6:
Sketch your person and place your information around them
