AIESEC Global Village 2013: Cultural Groups Contract

Global Village is a bazaar that brings together a number of diverse


student groups, each of which showcases their culture to the
Northwestern community through cuisine, performances, interactive
games and other media on display.
AIESEC Global Village 2013 will be our sixth Global Village event at
Northwestern. It will take place at Parkes Hall from 12 - 3pm on April
20th, 2013. We expect an audience of around 300-500 people.
Expectations
Your Table
o Details
Set up at 11 AM (at least 1 person from your group)
Event Table 12-3 PM (at least 2 people from your
group at all times)
Clean up finishes at 4 PM (at least 1 person from
your group)
o Timeline
Provide names & phone numbers of people at your
table by April 8th
Food
o Details
You are required to provide a cultural food item, 200300 people
Food must be pre-prepared
2 AIESEC will provide:
Paper plates/bowls/cups, trash bags, sternos
for heating, kitchen access for washing up and
refrigeration
2 Timeline
1 Notify us what food item it is, how you are getting it
(ordering, cooking), how much it will cost (estimate)
by April 8th
2 Information / Activities
1 Details
1 You are required to provide information or an activity
to educate people about your country/culture (2-5
minutes long)
E.g. teaching a dance, trying on clothes,
teaching a game, language lessons etc. Make it
creative and entertaining!
2 Timeline

Notify us what activity it is, what materials you will


get for it, any related costs (estimate) by April 8th

Decorations
1 Details
1 Make your booth colorful with posters, flags, clothing,
books etc.

1 Let us know what you are doing by April 8th
4 Event Program
1 Details
1 We want to create a program; this will require a
group history/blurb of about 100 words for your
group and 2-3 pictures
2 Timeline
1 The blurb & pictures need to be sent to us by April
8th
5 Liability
1 Details
1 We expect you and your members to behave
appropriately and deliver on your commitments
2 If these expectations are not met, we may have to
reconsider reimbursing your group
6 Reimbursements
1 Details
1 Reimbursement will happen through an inter-account
cash transfer of $60 to your SOFO account (receipts
not necessary) during the week of April 22-26.
