Common mistake in English

1.-omission of the subject:

This is a common mistake because difference from Spanish, in English
always is necessary a subject.
Frequently, students say: is important to do this, instead of saying: its important
to do this. The word it not necessary refers to a something but we need to put
it in a sentence in order that this sentence will be right grammatically.

2.-omission of articles:
Spanish people use to avoid articles frequently. for example: he is
teacher, t havent dog, does she have car? This happen because students dont
use articles in Spanish.

3.-pronouns:
Sometimes Spanish people have problems to distinguish the personal
pronouns (he, him). For example: did not know who was him instead of: I did
not know he was.

4.- adjectives:

In Spanish, we use adjectives after the noun but in English doesnt. we

use the adjectives before a noun. For example: una nia bonita. And I English it
will be like this : a beautiful little girl.

5.- double negation:

Students tend to put double not in a sentence. I didnt even have no
problems.

6.- verbs:
Students tend to use the simple present when they are speaking
English. She come back; the first time I see her.

7.- order of the words:

Students apply an inappropriate order of the word. For example: he in
kitchen has lunch, instead of he was his lunch in the kitchen; or Bobby is a
black beautiful dog, instead of Bobby is a beautiful black dog.

8.- other/others:
Generally, students tend to confuse those words. I have others book.
The correct way to say this is; I have other books. This error is also
comprehensible, because the adjectives, in Spanish, can be pluralized.

9.- this/these.

Students tend to pronounce this /these in a same way. Not taking into account
that: these is used to refer plural things and this for singular things.
