Homework assignment: Creating a Travel Brochure of Guatemala


Due 1 Week from day it is assigned:
Due 9/30: Caldwell, Griggs, Falls

Due 10/1: McLaughlin

Each day assignment is late 5 points will be deducted from grade.


Materials Needed:

Notes/Any additional Research


1 Sheet of Plain white paper folded into thirds
Crayons and/or colored pencils

Instructions:
Using the notes you took in class, as well as any books or the Internet if
you wish, create a Travel Brochure for the country of Guatemala. Your
brochure must include front and back covers with large hand drawn images.
The first inside page should include at least 3 general facts, which could be
about location, weather, or other basic facts or information. The other
panels should include 3 facts each about one subject or two closely related
subjects, as well as hand drawn images.
Below is a template you can use as a guide, but please be creative in
how you organize each panel!

A. 90-100: Brochure is neat, well organized, very informative, and


illustrated well.
B. 80-89: Brochure is mostly neat, somewhat organized, somewhat
informative and includes images that display some effort.
C. 70-79: Brochure is not very neat or organized, does not include
adequate information or illustrations.
D. 60-69: Brochure is not neat, unorganized, or does not include facts
or illustrations
F. 60 or Below: Brochure is never turned in or mostly blank
