The progress grade only occurs during


the learning process so it is not
calculated in the final grade. The
progress grade, that you will be able to
see, is a diagnostic tool that the
teacher and student use to track the
progress of learning.

The achievement grades are used to


calculate the final grade in each
subject. Therefore, this grade is the
final rating of what the student has
learned relating to one or more of the
four criteria (A-D) found in each
subject area. Each criterion is scored
on a 0-8 scale by using rubrics
specifically created for the desired
achievement.

Approaches to Learning
The focus of this area is on teaching students how to learn and on
helping students find out about themselves as learners so that they can
develop learning skills.

grade. The approach to learning
