The curse,character that I admire the most

In the curse by lee su ann , I admire

Azreen the most. She is quite unremarkable in
her looks but shows an admirable strength of
character that takes her through several trials
and tribulations. She is a fiery-tempered girl
who always speaks her mind. She is quick to
act and does not care what people think of
her. However , many of the villagers see her
in a negative light
But we know that Azreen is caring and
loving. She cares for her wheelchair bound
mother. She takes her to the graveyard to see
her sisters grave. She loves the old lady very
much and goes to see her although others
resent her for being foolish. She is loyal and
protective and slaps the girl who mimics her
mothers way of walking with crutches. She
will not tolerate anyone making fun of the old
lady and will fight them if she has to. She
spends hours with the old lady in happy
companionship despite the comments from
the villagers
She protects asyraf by saying that she
has left the farm gates open and takes the

blame for the nasty accident that robs her

mother of her leg. Her sense of loyalty Is
greater than self-preservation .
She plays games and wishes to be
treated as an equal by the boys. She does not
think that she should be subservient and dull
to to be feminine. She likes asyraf but he sees
her as a good friend and falls in love with her
sister,madhuri. She is hurt by this but keeps
her pain to herself.
I admire Azreen for being strong and
courageous..
