which
energy
energy

It is a hydraulic machine
converts the mechanical
supplied to it into hydraulic
(potential and kinetic energy)

Lifting of water to higher levels is

carried out by various action of
pumps such as centrifugal action,
reciprocating action etc.,

Centrifugal Pump
Principle
When a certain mass of a liquid is
made to rotate by an external force it
is thrown away from the central axis
of rotation and centrifugal pressure is
developed which raises the liquid to
higher level.
