Job Description
Regions Financial currently has opportunities for a Programmer Analyst at our Riverchase Operations
Center located in Birmingham, Alabama. This position:

Formulates and defines specifications for complex operating software programming applications
Modifies and maintains complex existing applications using engineering releases and utilities
Analyzes and evaluates existing or proposed systems and devises computer programs, systems
and related procedures to process data
Prepares charts and diagrams to assist in problem analysis and submits recommendations for
solution
Prepares program specifications and diagrams and develops coding logic flowcharts
Encodes, tests, debugs and installs the operating programs and procedures in coordination with
computer operations and user departments
Applies comprehensive knowledge to plan and execute complex assignments.
May be responsible for training junior level associates.
Operates with substantial latitude for independent actions or decisions
Reviews decisions and progress with management.

Skills & Requirements

A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field or completion of a technical training

program in a software development programming language is required. A high school diploma and
prior experience in a comparable position will also qualify. Strong verbal and written communication
skills, with ability to express complex technical concepts, are desired. The successful candidate must
have good troubleshooting and project management skills and be able to operate as part of a team to
organize, plan and execute projects. Technical skills required include .NET, C#, SQL.
