1.0 ABOUT THE ROMANIAN INTERFACE PACK FOR WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL
=========================================================================
Romanian Interface Pack for Windows XP Professional operating system
provides a Romanian user interface to the majority of the Windows XP
Professional operating system user interface.
When a user logs on, the appearance of the system and a section of help
files associated with the system components, change to Romanian. (Note
that this is not quite the same as running a localized version. The
Romanian Interface Pack is based on the English version of Windows XP.)
=========================================================================
2.0 BEFORE INSTALLING ROMANIAN INTERFACE PACK FROM THE ROMANIAN INTERFACE
PACK CD
=========================================================================
Before you install the Romanian Interface Pack, you must complete the

installation of Windows XP Professional from the English Windows XP

Professional CD.
Note: If you installed Windows XP Professional as an upgrade to Windows
2000 then you should refer to relnotes.txt prior to installing the Romanian
Interface Pack.
To install the Romanian Interface Pack, run LIPSETUP.MSI from the
Romanian Interface Pack CD.
=========================================================================
3.0 INSTALLING THE ROMANIAN INTERFACE PACK
=========================================================================
You must have administrative rights on the system to install Romanian
Interface Pack, and you must ensure that all other users are logged off
during the installation process.
Set-up will guide you through the installation process and will then prompt
you to re-boot your system. You must log back on to the system to complete
the installation.
Important Note: Romanian Interface Pack installation will not be completed
until the administrative user that began the installation logs back in after
the system has re-booted, and prior to any other user logging on to
the system. It is necessary to do this in order for the Romanian user
interface to be applied to all users of the computer.
=========================================================================
4.0 SUPPORTED PLATFORMS
=========================================================================
The Romanian Interface Pack for Windows XP only works with 32-bit Windows
XP Professional Edition.
Romanian Interface Pack files cannot be installed on Windows XP Home Edition
or on any 64-bit versions of Windows XP.
=========================================================================
5.0 NON-SUPPORTED INSTALLATION SCENARIOS
=========================================================================

Romanian Interface Pack cannot be installed on a system that currently has,
or has previously had, a Windows XP Multi User Interface Pack (MUI) installed
on it.
=========================================================================
