    October 16-18: 7th Annual Retreat Yourself for moms, grandmas and aunts who
    are raising a child with a developmental disability will be held at the Bishop Lane
    Retreat Center, 7708 E. McGregor Road, Rockford. Fee is $100.00 which includes
    lodging, all meals and activities. For more information, call Patti at 815-965-5069 x

    October 28th, 6:00-8:00 P.M.: How to Enjoy (and Survive) the Holidays with
    Children with Special Needs. (Make It and Take It activity will be included)The
    sights, sounds and smells can be overwhelming for children with special needs. Come
    learn about ways to prepare for the holiday season and make some sensory aids for
    your child. Tess Oster from Sensory Therapeutics will be the presenter. Dinner will be
    provided and childcare available by registration only. The presentation will be held at
    ESMC, 650 N. Main St., Rockford.To register, call Patti at 815-965-5069 x 1221 or
