Comments from CCAC insider to Toronto Star September 25, 2015 editorial

Kudos to Ms. Lysyk. She has managed to expose what those of us who work at CCAC have
known for a long time...front line patient care comes as a very low priority compared to all the
other administrative processes that take up the time of these well paid staff. I've worked at
various CCACs for a long time and could not believe the waste and inefficiencies that drove
most of their processes. The CEOs and their VPs should all be held accountable as they are the
ones padding the reports and basically appeasing the Board and LHIN with their compelling stats
that we have always known are contrived. I can tell you at the CCAC where I worked, the
number of highly paid consultants to assist the managers and directors was shameful and likely
does not even factor into the administrative costs in this audit - and also wonder why ( on
taxpayers' backs) do all the executive team continue to receive full salary as they attend masters
programs at the university level to further their own career? They've been enjoying this gravy
train for a long time - shame on Deb Mathews for doing nothing about this during her tenure and
denying the truth.
