Dear parents,
Soon we are going to be working on long
multiplication and long division. Today I assessed
their previous knowledge on these areas, and there is
a lot a review to do, starting with their multiplication
and division facts. I am attaching the problems they
solved to the newsletter, so that you can have an
idea of your childs area/s of growth. I am have also
added two links on our website Web We Go!
section- to practice these concepts.
It was brought to my attention that there was
some frustration with yesterdays math assignment.
First of all, I appreciate that fluid communication.
Secondly, I am sorry for the frustration caused by the
misunderstanding on math. Yesterdays assignment
was actually a review of concepts that have been
already covered in class and even assessed on the
previous math test refer to math on 8/31, 9/3, and
9/9.- Please always make sure they use their math
journal to do their math homework. They are
expected to write on their journals everything that is
written on the board, which includes definitions,
steps to solve problems, and guided practice.
