The clip chart allows students' clips with their names to move up or down throughout the day based on their behavior. Students start each day on the "ready to learn" level, and can move up to levels like "great job" or "super student" for positive behavior, or down to levels like "think about it" or "teacher choice" for negative behavior. The lowest level requires a parent signature on a pink slip and possible visit with the principal depending on the severity of the behavior.

Our classroom will use a clip chart to monitor behavior. This
is a great tool that allows students to be rewarded for positive behavior, while discouraging negative behavior. Each student has a clip with his/her name on it. Everyone will start on green at the beginning of the day clips can be moved up or down throughout the day based on behavior.
