Project Mission
As a traveller, youve visited many places around the world. Now, its
time for you to be a space traveler and have a totally unforgettable
experience traveling through space. You and your friends will decide to
visit one of the planets in the solar system.
To prepare for this incredible journey, these are the things that need to
be done:
Decide one best way to get there through research
Calculate speed, distance, and time to estimate how long it takes
and to find out how far away the planet is from earth
Use the properties of radical, exponent, and scientific notation to
show how large the planet is.
In addition, to have a clear picture of your plan, you are expected to
use ratio and proportion to create 3D scale models that reflect
the actual size and attributes of the earth and the planet you will visit.
*Your plan ideally includes certain situations from everyday life to
make it more meaningful for others. Keep your target audience in
mind: who will benefit from your project?
The question that needs to be answered at the end of your project is:

a. What are my role and mission in this project?
So our role is as the space traveler that will visit one planet in our solar
system. And we will find the distance, how long we will arrive in there, and
how large the planet is. And we will make the 3D model of our planet that we
will visit.

So to find the magnitude of object k
we can use math, because in math
we can calculate the speed, distance, and the area of the object,
using exponent, radical, and scientific notation
Math can help us to calculate the distance between earth and
Uranus, the scale for our model, speed of our transportation, and
many more
I think its enough but we have to use the fastest spacecraft.

My goals in this project is to complete this project with seriously and

How large is the planet compare to the earth?
Diameter:
Uranus: 50,724km = 5,072,400,000cm = 50 cm = Uranus is 4 times
bigger than earth
Earth: 12,742km = 1,274,200,000cm = 12 cm = earth is 2 times
bigger than mars
Mars: 6,805km = 680,500,000cm = 6 cm
How many times will you reduce the size of the planet and
the earth for the models?

With math we can know how big the is Uranus using the scale, because with scale we
can know how many times bigger is Uranus and we can make a model according to
the real size. And with scientific notation we can simplifying the huge number like, the
circumference of Uranus. We also can use scientific notation to know how many times
bigger Uranus is
For example:
Distance of earth to Uranus is 2,400,000,000 or 2.4 x 10 9 km
Diameter of Uranus: 50,724 km = 5,072,400,000 cm
With scale of 1 cm : 108 cm
So it will make the model size have a diameter 50 cm

Math is very helping if we want to travel to Uranus or other planet. Why? Because
with math we can count the distance between earths with our destination, with math
too we can know how long we will arrive in our destination. Math helping us to count
the speed of our transportation to go to our destination. We also use math for
counting the diameter of the planet and make a model of our planet such as earth,
mars, and Uranus (scale).
For example:
From earth to Uranus using new horizon:
(2.4 x 109 km) : (5.9 x 104 km/h) = 0.40 x 105 h = 40,000 h = 1,666 days = 4.5years

Yes its possible because from our counting we estimated that we can arrive in
Uranus in less than 5 years using the new horizon. So its possible if we can arrive in
Uranus less than 5 years because we round the years into 5 years.
Calculation:

Distance from earth to Uranus: 2,400,000,000 km = 2.4 x 10 9


Speed of New Horizon: 58,236 km/h 59,000 km/h = 5.9 x 104
Calculate:
(2.4 x 109) km : (5.9 x 104) km/h = 0.40 x 105 hour = 40,000 hour = 1,666 days =
