    September 27th October 2nd
    This Week-

    Language Arts- This week we will start a new story about courage. We will also begin drafting

    persuasive essays. We will also look at contractions and proper nouns this week.
    Math- This week we will start our unit on multiplying large numbers. We will also start looking at
    the multiple properties of multiplication.
    Science- No Science this week! Next week the students will join Mrs. Prince and begin a unit on
    heredity.
    Social Studies- This week we will be focusing on the Columbian Exchange. We will examine which
    items and ideas moved between the Old and New Worlds thanks to Columbus discovery of America.

    Please charge your netbook EVERY NIGHT! We will use the netbooks a great deal starting
    this week so please have them charged and ready for learning.
    Swimming will be every Wednesday! Please come prepared with your swimsuit and towel
    Midterm Grades will go home on Friday. Students who have them signed and returned will
    receive Mustangs Bucks for returning it!
    Permission Slips- Cave Field Trip Permission Slips must be returned on Wednesday or
    students will be ineligible to attend the field trip. Please also return your DARE permission
    slips.
    Timpanogos Cave Field Trip will be Thursday. We will be leaving the school promptly at 9am.
    Chaperones please watch your e-mail for further instructions.
    SSP Conferences will be Wednesday and Thursday. Please sign up using the link the school
    e-mailed to you.

    HomeworkFor homework please:


    1. Complete 3 Word Work Activities from the Choices Wheel.

    Please use the spelling words from list 1


    Staple all the activities together and turn them in on Friday

    2. 2 Math Review Sheets

    Due Friday

    3. Read 20 minutes every night


    Dont forget to do a reading log journal every night
    All Homework needs to be returned inside the homework folder on Friday.

    ***Students who fail to complete their homework will have to sit out at this Fridays Fun Friday activity***

    Book Reports are due Wednesday!
