1. Overview
This memorandum reviews the VISSIM traffic analysis and evaluation framework that will be used for
the interchange at I-405/Beardslee Blvd-195th Street. The intent of this memorandum is to define key
assumptions and methods that will be used for the VISSIM traffic analysis. Included in this memo is a
discussion of the study area limits, analysis years, travel demand forecasting and modeling
methodologies, analysis scenarios, and operational parameters.

2. Study Area Description


The study area for the VISSIM analysis covers the interchange at I-405 at Beardslee Blvd. and NE 195 th
St. Two study intersections will be included in this study as well as the freeway mainline and on and off
ramps. Figure 1 shows a map of the study area that will be analyzed including the intersections. Table 1
gives a description of each of the intersections studied.

3. Analysis Years & Scenarios


The VISSIM traffic analysis will be conducted for the following scenarios and peak periods:

2035 Future Build Alternative 2

Many different alternatives were developed for this document, however a preferred build alternative has
not been selected. The actual future build scenario will be determined through the analysis of the
alternatives.
