Afghanistan
There are so many countries I could have chosen to research; however, I
have always been interested in visiting Afghanistan. The name itself make you
wonder about the country. With all stuff they have going on with war an
everything. Afghanistan is done to keep their people alive an safe.
Government
After the overthrow of the Taliban in late 2001, several Afghan opposition
groups met under the auspices of the United Nations in Bonn, Germany, to set
the foundations for the new provisional government in Afghanistan.
LOCATION
Afghanistan is a landlocked country located within South Asia an Central
Asia.
CURRENCY
TOURISM-what can visitors do if they visit this country?
In Afghanistan there is a lot you could visit. You could go to the Gardens of
Babur.Where you can admire the flowers an everything it consist of. You
could also travel to Kabul Zoo to admire all the animals that are not seen in
America zoo.

A famous land marks is the National Museum of Afghanistan.Where it shows


all things that happen in the past.Giving information an artifacts.
FLAGAfghanistan flag has three colors which all represent different pages in
history. The colors are black,red, and green. Black stands for darkness of the
past history in Afghanistan. Red stands for blood shed and war in the history
Afghanistan. An green stands fro hope,prosperity and a bright future.
POPULATION
Afghanistan has approximately 32 million people making them the 42nd most
populated country in the world.That is
LANGUAGE
Pashto is an Eastern Iranian language, belonging to the Indo-European
family. Pashto is the native language of the Pashtun people of South-Central
Asia. Dari is the variety of the Persian language spoken in Afghanistan. Dari is
the term officially recognized and promoted since 1964 by the Afghan
government.
CULTURE (style of dress/religion)
Men's clothing includes the khet partug, perahan tunban, the turban and local
styles of coats.

Generally, traditional women's dresses in Afghanistan are made from light


linens and are loose fitting for ease of movement
FOOD
(Qabeli Pallaw) Rice with chopped fried carrots and raison to (Ashak,
Mantoo), veggie and non veggie dumplings and its fresh bread.
Afghans are very talented and expert in cooking and their unique hospitality
is well known across the continent.
