Introduction:
To focus the students attention I will use a PowerPoint to create a
visual for them to engage them. For motivation I will tell the
students that whoever scores highest on the quiz and the end of
the lesson will get a prize. (candy)
Developing the Lesson:
1. I first will present a PowerPoint. I will explain what a
homophone is, and give examples of homophones.
2. I then will explain the homophone worksheet assignment.
Students will work in pairs to correct the sheet. We will
come together as a big group to answer the questions on
the worksheet to ensure everyone understands the correct
and incorrect answers. Then we will play the homophone
game as a quiz. I will ask each individual a homophone
question. If they are unable to answer the next person has a
chance to answer, and so on. Whoever has the most points

gets a prize.
Closure:
The quiz will be the closure. It will give them various homophone
