are divided into four types:

Academic
Artistic

Certamen
Ludi/Olympika

Academic Competitions
All

students take a Decathlon test

(general knowledge) and one content
specialty test.

There
All

are 14 content specialties.

students take the same content test,

but are judged only against students at
the same Latin level (e.g. 1/2A, 1/2B, 1,
2, etc.)

conflicts, students who take an
academic test cannot enter into a
performative art category.
